Today I had a field trip.
It really served no educational purpose for me -- more for my siblings.
Since Maddy was going to Philadelphia with some friends to see lions and tigers and bears, my mom woke me up and surprised me with this idea of a field trip.
So we drove up to New York this morning. We went to the Discovery Center.
It was surprisingly cool. I hadn't been there since I was pretty young, so it brought back some memories :)
The best part was probably just my brother and I playing hide and seek. I almost got lost in that place when we first went in -- and it only loops around in a circle. So it was a pretty epic game. Especially with 4 year olds and their parents passing me wondering why I was curled up in the corner of the dentist's office...
So that combined with a mini blizzard on the way home and lunch of McD's resulted in a pretty fun day.
After all the fun I went to softball practice, which was somewhat bittersweet, and now I'm sitting in front of my computer, waiting for my dad to come home with some sammies from Subway :)

Did I tell you all that I got hit in the head with a softball the other day? No?
I got hit in the head with a softball the other day.
Yep. I was warming up one of our pitchers, and another was right next to us, warming up. Well, she lost control of one, it hit the metal pole connecting the fence behind us and hit me in the side of the head. I'm all right. My head hurts and bit, and it hurts to chew, but that's about it. I didn't even get a cool bruise or anything. After thinking about it for a bit, it could have been very serious. It hit me about an inch below my temple and -- well, we won't dwell on those thoughts.
Ooh... that's a bit... Star Wars...
Man, I'm trying to eat a Subway BLT -- lemme tell ya, chewing is not so easy when you were hit in the jaw bone... or cheek bone...
I knew I should have taken Anatomy...
This sign cracked me up. "WHERE THE HECK DID YOU COME FROM?!" Heheh ;)
My sister just returned from Philadelphia, and what does she do?
Immediately leaves to go to a friend's house.
I think she has more friends than me.
I'm afraid we lost him.
You know what kinda stupid person requests tomatoes on her sub and absolutely hates tomatoes?
This kinda stupid person.
I'll blame it on the head injury.
We determined that the light was really a device used to shoot lazer beams. Well, ok, maybe not, but the Doctor could make it do so. I love you David Tennant!!!
Pickles totally make a sandwich. I usually eat them first and then eat the sandwich, but leaving them on...
