Okay. I really, really apologize that I haven't posted in like, three years. It's been busy. I had another tournament this weekend, practices, catching up on stuff, etc., etc...
So, I really want it to feel like summer. Sadly, today was rainy, wet, and never got above 60 degrees. It does NOT feel like the middle of June. I want some summer sunshine, sipping lemonade, slip n slide weather.
Today was not one of those days.
Nor yesterday.
In fact, I think autumn may be on its way. I hope not.
So I'm still fighting to finish Susie Magazine's Second Annual 30 Day Challenge. It's not as easy as I thought. I'm on day 16, and I still have so much to do! I honestly am finding it hard to eat a fruit and veggie every day. Not because I don't like them, but because no one in my family will buy me any. I'm a lover of all things veggetabley and fruity, but I'm finding my parents are apparently not so fond of my little friends. Also tithing fifteen minutes of my time to help someone do something has been difficult. I don't have a problem helping people, but sometimes I'm too lazy or not home to find something to do. And then there's all the extra stuff.
- Babysitting twice for free OUTSIDE MY FAMILY
- Donating clothes, CDs, books, OR tithing my talent three times.
- Listening to a sermon I've never heard before, and sharing my faith with a non-believer.
- Using the word "woebegone" in a sentence, and using three homonyms in a sentence together, and going one week without movies, television, and video games.
- Planning to go to the soup kitchen with some friends
- Playing Monopoly with my family one night
- Having a movie night with family or friends
But I'm trying. Hopefully I'll get a chance to babysit this Friday. It's been really hard thought with softball five days a week, and trying to juggle other stuff.
Great. My dog just puked on the carpet. Just something else to add to my wonderful day. Which I didn't tell you about. I guess I'll try and give you a quick lowdown of my week.
I had a tournament this weekend. It was an 18u tournament too, so there were some older girls there. We actually got to the semifinals, but got 8-runned by a good team.
On Monday, My mom, Liv, and I went to King's to watch our boys' baseball team play the semifinal game for states. They won 9-0! It was a good game. They're playing the championship Friday at State College on the same day as the graduation. After that, we went to Dallas to watch the senior all-star game for the girls. This is all the seniors from different teams put together onto two teams, divided up West and East. So I got to see the four seniors from our team play with some of our rivals. It was all for fun, and girls were just taking chances, trying different things. It was fun.
So those were the highlights of my last few days. Tell me about yours!
Cheers♥
