HOLA!!! (That's Spanish for "hello" :) I think it's been a little while since I've blogged. So I figured, why not? Some updates: I'm going deaf. At least I think so. Everyone else isn't so sure, but I know my hearing is worse than my grandma's. So it's pretty bad. It happened a week or so ago when my ear seemed blocked. But not a normal blocked ear where your voice is echoing inside your head. Instead, I can hear my heartbeat inside my head. And right now I'm listening to the radio, and it's like the bass is pounding into my head. So it's been a bit frustrating. Also it makes practicing the piano difficult because everything sounds all meshed together and I can't tell if I hit a wrong note. So yea, hopefully my hearing comes back sometime soon.
To continue on, we won all three of our games this week (you may now do a victory dance). Crestwood: 5-4 and went into extra innings ( I might have said this in my last post but I don't remember, so forgive the monotony). Holy Redeemer: 4-2 Wyoming Area: 12-5 and I got a double and got to slide - twice. INTO HOME. I was absolutely thrilled. I also got on base all three of my at-bats which also made me happy (I love running the bases). Also my grandma, aunt, and uncle got to come to my game on Thursday too!
Now, something interesting that has been happening to me. This summer, me, my sister and mom, and my awesome friend Marissa are gonna be going to Creation Fest!!! This is the most amazing Christian music festival in Pennsylvania. I went last year with my mom and friend Rachel and it was awesome, to put it mildly. So, since I'll be going in 1 month and 23 days, I've been getting sort of excited. But what's been really weird is that I've been having dreams about going. This started a few weeks ago, and it's been continuing. And my last one was really severe because in my dream, I was like "Man, I really hope this isn't a dream." And I convinced myself that it wasn't and that I was there! But then, I woke up and this wave of utter disappoint overcame me and I was horribly disappointed that I wasn't there! And even worse, when I woke up, I thought for some reason that it was the beginning of June and I was gonna be going soon, but then I remembered it's only May! *sigh* It was utterly depressing.
Anyway, tomorrow my mom is going to get new bunk beds for my sister and I, and while she's doing that, the rest of us are going to go to my aunt's where my grandma and Montanian relatives are staying, so we'll visit with them.
And now for something I'd like to regularly do, my book, quote, song, and video of the day.
My book is Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. This is my all time favorite book that I have read probably over a hundred times since I was eight. It's absolutely amazing, and it's sort of like reading a dream. It's very much like a dream, as things suddenly change from one thing to another as they often do in dreams. I will always love this book and will never get tired of reading it. I suggest you read it right now.
My quote is from that book: "[Alice] generally gave herself very good advice (thought she seldom followed it)..." This quote describes my life perfectly. ( Little trivia, while we're on this book. In the part where Alice is having tea with the March Hare and the Mad Hatter, the Hatter sings a song called "Twinkle Twinkle Little Bat", like the Star song. I am so infatuated with this book that when Liv was born, instead of teaching her Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, I taught her Twinkle Twinkle Little Bat. She can still sing it, if you ask her)
My song: Tonight by TobyMac featuring Jon Cooper of Skillet. It's only an awesome song if you listen to the version with Jon Cooper. Otherwise, it's significantly less awesome. I believe it's on my playlist at the bottom of my blog, so check it out! (More trivia: I met TobyMac last summer at Creation Fest. He signed my Tonight CD and we fist-bumped. Highlight of life.)
My video: This is a bit difficult to decide on. But this guy won. I love him.
Cheers.
