Yesterday was spent in Lancaster, where my family and I saw Jonah at the Sight & Sound Theater!
It was quite fantastic.
Am I using the word "fantastic" too much?
Fantastic.
I happen to have an obsession with country scenery. I live in a fairly rural area, but the farmland in Lancaster is breathtaking.
We went to lunch at an Amish restaurant, and their buffet left me speechless (and without hunger). I have never seen so many desserts.
Chocolate applesauce cake.
Apple crisp.
Hot fudge cake.
Dirt pudding.
Pumpkin torte.
Chocolate eclairs.
And the list just keeps going.
My sister, being the now 6-year-old she is decided all the three forms of Jell-O available were her favorite dessert options.
Speaking of which --
Today is Liv's birthday!
She's six.
Oh my word.
I remember when she was born!
My grandparents drove us all to the hospital because my mom felt like something was up.
It was Liv.
While my mom was going into labor, my siblings and I got treated to McD's -- shamrock shakes included :)
I also remember my grandparents telling us when Liv was born.
We all sat town at the table and my grandma says,
"It's a girl!"
My brother broke down, put his head on the table and started sobbing,
"I wanted a brother!"
It was quite depressing.
Of course once he met his little sister, he cheered up and decided having a little sister instead of a little brother wasn't so bad.
Anyway, six years later...
