The Best Thing I Never Knew I Needed

  So today was honestly a lot of fun. It might be the end of summer, but I guess it's never too late to get in some fun stuff, right? My family, minus my dad, went out to the city to do some shopping. Now, I really hate shopping with my two youngest siblings along. It makes things... awkward. Uncomfortable. Weird. And more. But today they kinda stayed out of my hair. It was actually pretty nice. I got some adorable headbands from Claire's, and my momma bought me a super cute wallet at TJ Max. It had little owls all over it!

*SQUEAL*

  

  I also found some amazingly adorable and cute hats and hooded mittens. Penguins, owls, sock monkeys, froggies... it was too much. I had to force myself to walk away.

  Then I was FINALLY able to go to youth group for the first time in two months! Our group seems a bit small, and not as... lively as it's been in the past, but I loved it. It's so great being able to see people I absolutely LOVE.

  And to top it all off, my best friend, who's been in New Hampshire, came home and I was able to see her!!!!!

*DOUBLE SQUEAL*

  

   Unfortunately, she's come home only to leave on Tuesday. For Germany.

  I've known she was going to Germany for a while, I just didn't know when she was leaving. So it was a bit of a shock. It's a little easier to grasp these things when the person isn't really around. Now that I got to see her and give her tons of hugs, it makes me sad to see her leave again.

  THANKFULLY, contrary to what another friend had said, she is NOT going to Germany for a full year. She's only staying until Christmas.

  Which of course makes me VERY happy!

  So that was my excitement for the night. And being able to laugh with friends, talk with friends, meet new people, have a nice little shopping trip. I don't get out much, so this is a lot for me, haha!

  And even better, I get to go to my friend's house Friday for a "Welcome Home/Going Away" party for my friend who's going to Germany! It's going to be a fun night ;)
