Hello my dearest friends! Hope your week has been going well... even though it's only Tuesday. Though Technically, the week is about half over. It's amazing how time flies. Especially as you get older. I've found the older I get, the faster time goes. It seems time just dragged on when I was little. Now, I can barely keep track of a week. It's a bit sad growing up. I liked it when I was six and could care less what happened. Oh well. Time goes on.
Anyway, guess what? I finished Green!!! Yes, it only took me five months. I never had any time to read it but finally, this morning, I finished it! Though it left me a bit confuzzled. I hope you become addicted to Ted Dekker's books so I can trade notes with you on everything that's happened. So now what am I going to start? The Bride Collector. And who is it by? You guessed it (maybe, maybe not) - Ted Dekker! So hopefully I'll have time to read it...
Today I made pancakes for breakfast. With berries. I like pancakes with berries. I also had pancakes for lunch. Without berries. I very much like pancakes, but berries add a sort of extraordinary something to an ordinary pancake. But I noticed as I was cooking my berry-less pancake that it had taken the form of a very familiar object... and what might that object be... a car! So I immediately thought, Oh wouldn't my blogger friends love to see it! So I took a picture. Just for you. ;)
Isn't that incredible?? It's like one of those things that would sell for a million dollars on Ebay like that smiling banana or a potato chip that looks like Ronald Reagan or something... it's a shame I ate it...
Moving on. I love Doctor Who. Became addicted to it a while ago when I found the new series, and Netflix finally got Season 5 on Watch Instantly, so I've been watching it. I was a bit wary of this new Doctor, because I am desperately in love with David Tennant, and thought nobody could replace his brilliancy. I also thought David Tennant would never be able to replace Christopher Eccleston's fantasticness after the first season, but I was proved wrong then. Though I still desperately love David Tennant, this new guy has stepped into the Doctor's shoes and seems to have fit in them very well. He's got his own personality, but still has that quality that makes The Doctor, The Doctor. So Matt Smith, I give you my blessing to continue in this role. Until they find someone better than you.
Also, if I never mentioned it, Maddy and I got a new bunk bed this past weekend. After endless toil, we finally got it set up (I learned how to use a drill while setting it up. I feel like I could conquer world poverty with that knowledge). And it looks absolutely wonderful! It really makes our room look really awesome.
Oh wow. Just noticed that it's 11:15. I really need to get to bed. So to finish things off...
My song: Umm... "Feel It In Your Heart" by Abandon. Love this band. Saw them last summer at Creation Fest. And this song is cool.
My book: Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Lovely book. Not too hard of a read, for those of you that have difficulty with the hard core literature. Timeless romance. Almost better than the Titanic. Almost.
My quote: Since I'm on the topic of literature, when I started reading A Tale of Two Cities ( which I never finished) this is one part that struck me as particularly funny.
The author describing Jerry: "Except on the crown, which was raggedly bald, he had stiff, black hair, standing jaggedly all over it, and growing down hill almost to his broad, blunt nose. It was so like smith's work, so much more like the top of a strongly-spiked wall than a head of hair, that the best of players at leap-frog might have declined him, as the most dangerous man in the world to go over."
My video: Very inspiring video.
Nighty night!
Cheers
Hey, Emily.
ReplyDeleteOkay, so forgive me for not getting back to your last comment on my blog sooner. I was going to talk to you at church today, but it looked like you were busy, so I decided to leave a comment instead.
I just wanted to say that the comment you left meant so much to me. It can get awkward when you hang around people, and you don't want to stalk them or anything, but you don't want to seem so shy. No one ever really extends welcoming invitations to "be friends", so your comment really touched me.
Can't wait for CLEAR!! :)
Have a great Sunday!

Oh, and Danielle going with Jimmy was like a last minute thing. Her other date got sick, and I think there was some other stuff going on meanwhile. So... yeah.
