One of Those Days

Today was one of those days where everything seemed pretty good, in an average sort of way. It was absolutely FREEZING when I woke this morning, but by noon, it was close to 70, and actually a very nice day.

Oh yes. You know you want it.
After church, Liv had a soccer practice in uniform, which makes absolutely no sense. I mean, who practices in their uniform? I spent the whole time thinking back to my first years in CLEAR (youth group) and telling every memorable detail to Maddy. As I kept going, I remembered more and more hilarious and unforgettable moments. Summer Fest in 7th grade, along with Snow Camp, missions trip in Manassas, meeting new people, doing new things, getting new nicknames... and it made me realize how much the newbies really need to experience all this. So many people have left or graduated, and there are lots of new kids, some with a solid faith, some shaky, and some with little or no faith at all. It made me realize it's now my turn to step up and help guide these kids, and create an awesome experience for them while I still can. I only have 2 years left of CLEAR and then I'm done. 2 years to leave a footprint in these kids' lives. 2 years to give them unforgettable experiences.

After Liv's soccer practice-in-uniform, I had a graduation party to go to. A friend from my youth group is leaving some time this week for Missouri to go to a college of sorts. Lecrae actually introduced him to it, and he's spent all summer working his butt off to earn money for it. He's going to be doing some amazing stuff, spreading Christ's Message throughout the country. So I got to see some people I don't see very often. One good friend who used to come to CLEAR, who I haven't seen in at least a year, probably more, was there and I was able to catch up with her, which was awesome! And there's some new and old friends I've been able to talk to and get to know better this past week, which has been even more amazing.

Leaves are starting to turn, and I am VERY excited for fall! Cold weather, colorful leaves, and all that jazz... Fall, get here soon!

Cheers♥
