Then since there was no one in the afternoon that we were very interested in seeing, we went back to our campsite to each lunch. Then we went into a nearby creek to cool off.
My mom took the whole "cooling off" thing a little too seriously
Maddy found an empty clam
We went back a little early to listen to Sent By Ravens over at the Fringe Stage. They were pretty good. What was cool was that earlier they had been going around with a sign telling people when and where they were playing that day. They walked right by me which was AWESOME!
Then we listened to Lecrae speak. He was amazing. For someone who's not trained in preaching, he definitely knows what he's talking about.
After that we hung around to watch Manafest perform. He shared some different things about his life and it was interesting hearing about his life.
And then, Hawk Nelson. There were LOTS of people there for them. He went out into the crowd which was cool. Sadly, we didn't stick around for the whole show, though I wish we did.
We hiked over to the Main Stage after that to listen to Red. They're really good! I got to see them last year, but wasn't down front. It's definitely more fun being down in all the action!
After them, Chris Tomlin came for a short time of worship before the sermon. I never was a huge fan of Chris Tomlin, just because his songs are so overplayed on the radio. But boy, does he know how to settle someone's heart for God's word.
Louie Giglio was the speaker for that night. He had an AMAZING message and really proved how the universe sings for God. If you have a chance, look for a video for his "Indescribable" message and find the part where he shows the sounds of the universe singing together.
Chris Tomlin came back for a full performance. I love his songs - they are incredible!
And that night's performance - Third Day! I honestly loved them! Not really their music, but just how down to earth they were. Mac Powell was talking to a few people, pointing some people, saying how great the kids with the lightsabers marching around the arena were. He was just there having a good time like every other person there. And that was awesome.
So that's Thursday! Still not extremely exciting, but definitely a lot of fun!
Well, I still have tons to do. Videos to upload, songs to put on my iPod, letter to write... I'm gonna have a busy week!
Cheers♥
Um... not fair! My dad listens to Third Day all the time, and I love them!
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree with you -- Christ Tomlin is good, but I don't listen to him a whole lot on my iPod or anything, because he's on the radio too much :)
But I still kinda have to like him, because his bass player is my one of my best friend's Uncle! I'm totally going next year. Maybe.
