A Foxtrot Above my Head

  Ahh, sweet summertime! I feel like it's finally here! These past few days have been excruciatingly hot, but if it's a sign of summer's coming, I'll take it!
  I have so many things I love about summer! Perhaps I'll make you a list?

Fireflies

Who doesn't like fireflies? Their little tails all aglow, just flitting by, minding their own business. No purpose in life but to add more beauty to God's creation!

Softball

For me, summer is the start of ASA season! (ASA being Amateur Softball Association) It starts off all the traveling to places near and far, three games on Saturday, and then the battle to win it all on Sunday! It's exhausting, but I love it!

Outdoorsy stuff

Long walks with Fluppy, camping, hiking, running, whatever! I love being able to finally explore the great outdoors!

CLEAR Activities

This is also the time where our activity nights are usually brought outside playing ultimate frisbee, football, soccer, and any other thing we can think of!

No school

Who doesn't love a good picnic with family and friends?

Swimming

Sadly, we're without a pool, but I know lots of people who've got 'em! And nothing is better than a nice cool dip in the water!

  Well, that was really short list, but I like lists. They keep me organized.

  I realized that a lot of you don't know me (obviously. Sheesh, ain't I a smart one) so I thought why not give you a random fact about me each post? Not to seem totally self-centered (though I am amazingly awesome ;) but why not?

  So here's fact #1:

  I'm very prone to losing stuff.

  Now this isn't just average "one day something got misplaced and now it's gone". This happens to me several times a day. I have a very bad memory. Not when it comes to remembering facts (I'm made fun of for apparently being "super smart" when it comes to school. I can temporarily remember facts, but I couldn't tell you have the things I learned this school year :b), I can remember quite a lot, but where I left my camera five seconds ago? Nope. My family laughs at me, because if I set something down I have to literally say out loud, "Emily, you are setting your camera on this desk" and then repeat it a good ten times. 

  Well, I hope you all have lovely weekends. I have a tournament this weekend, so I'll be off all morning and afternoon tomorrow.
