Weird Fishes

Hello, my lovelies! Hope you all are having a fantastic weekend! And we finally have a rain-free day!! *insert crazy dancing here* Well, yesterday was my softball banquet and piano recital. The banquet went great, and I had an awesome time, and I didn't even tear up during the senior speeches! (which surprised me, since I've teared up during past senior speeches when I wasn't even on the team...) But during the banquet I had to run over to the middle school for my piano recital. Now the song I played I've been learning for months. I practiced it about ten times yesterday. And what do you think I do?
 I forget half the song.
Yup. It was a seven-page song. I got to the bottom of page three. And then, it completely left me. I started pushing random notes and I had my book next to me so I was just going to laugh it off, look up where I was in my book and continue, but when I reached over for it, everyone started clapping, so I just grabbed my book, bowed, and got out of there! So that was a bit disappointing, though at the time I wasn't as distraught and horrified as I thought I would be if this ever happened. I was quite calm and collected. This has only ever happened once before, and it was during a recital, but I was prepared because I was pretty sure I was going to forget me song. So I thought of a part I would skip to if I forgot it and I would start from there. I did forget it, but I picked up from another spot and ended it. I skipped two-thirds of the song, but at least it ended decent. Now thinking it over, there were probably a billion different things I could've done yesterday to make the song sound somewhat better than how I ended it (or didn't end it), but of course none of those ideas came to mind at the time. Oh well. I guess I could really care less, it just makes me feel bad that my mom goes through the trouble of paying for my lessons all year, and I can't even play my song decently at an annual recital. *sigh* Such is life.
Continuing on, this morning I had a softball game. We won 2-1 (although we should have cremated them). Then Coach took us out to Burger King - well, the eight of us that rode the bus - and then I went home and mowed the lawn. This I am quite proud of because I only recently learned how to use the lawn mower, and then that one died, so my dad got a new one, and I just learned how to use that one today. And I did the whole lawn by myself :] And our lawn isn't the easiest to mow, since half of it's a hill. So, please forgive my bragging, but it's not ever day I can say I completed something and did quite a nice job too (unlike my piano recital...).
Now, being the generous person that I am (*hold snickering here*) I thought It'd be nice to share some cool things with y'all (you may applaud at my convenient usage of Southern slang).
I love free stuff. Last year at Creation Fest (which I'm going to again this year with my awesome friend Marissa and my little sister Maddy) my friend Rach and I went to every booth and came into possession of any and every thing that was free. And one of my favorite free things is free music! And especially when it comes to Christian music, free music is SUPER easy to come by. So here are some of my favorite ways to get free, Christian music (and yes it's ALL legal :):
hearitfirst.com  Sign up for weekly emails and they send you a free song download (and sometimes two!)
newreleasetuesday.com  Sign up for a free account on their site and every Tuesday you can visit it and get one or more song downloads!
itickets.com  Just get a free account and visit their site weekly to get free song downloads! (also if you're ever interested in going to a Christian concert, this is the place to get tickets!)
gmc.com  More free song downloads every week on their site!
So check those places out and bask in the sunshine listening to some cool new music this summer!
As I was just thinking about what to write, I thought I'd advise you all not to try the new frozen strawberry lemonade at McDonald's. It's quite gross and I'd thought I'd better let you all know. On the other hand, the Half & Half Ice Tea/Pink Lemonade Arnold Palmer is amazing. Go get one those instead for half the price. And if you want it frozen, dumb it in a cup and freeze it for a couple hours and I'm sure the result will be much better than any of McD's frozen beverages.
Oh my. I just realized I haven't been on Rescreatu in like, a week. My pets are probably dead. Oh man.
Cheers.
